Song books are important, but making them can be a pain in the neck. Here’s the simplest way to make a karaoke songbook on Windows, using either PyKaraoke or Winamp.
If you’re starting from scratch, PyKaraoke will be the simplest: just add your music, and go to File -> Print Song List.
If you’re using Winamp, just import your music (unzip all .zip files first), sort by Artist or Title, drag into a playlist, select all, and hit Ctrl-Alt-G. This will open up a browser window with your playlist rendered as HTML. Print it.

Printing a songlist in Pykaraoke…
- Download PyKaraoke for Windows, install, and run.
- Go to File -> Add New Songs to Database
- Click on “Add Folder” (top right) and choose a folder.
- Click on “Save and Close” (at the bottom)
- Go to File – > Print Song List
Printing a songlist in Winamp…
- Follow these instructions to install Winamp and import your songs (if you haven’t yet)
- In your media library, sort by Artist or Title.
- Select all (Ctrl-A) and drag to your playlist
- Click a song in the playlist, and select all (Ctrl-A)
- Hit Ctrl-Alt-G.
- A browser window will open with your playlist rendered as HTML.
- Print it, or copy the contents into a word processor and add columns, etc.
can’t get the programe to work properly it won’t let me choose artis or track only file to make my lists, at first..say i was adding 100 songs to a list it split them into two pages only as file, it doesn’t allow you to a-z your tracks and then when you go to re input the same list for another book eg it’ll have 43 on one page and the rest on another page which dont match the first print off, so your books you make will be out of sync by page numbers and tracks it’ll confuse your singers reading the various karaoke books and winamp songlist well don’t ask thats just as bad it takes all your ink cos it prints the list onto a black back ground if i’ed paid for them i’ed be asking for my £($)back.
back again do you know of anymore, ones that can put you’re songs into a-z form, before i go and pay for that songlist creator, that looks my best bet but it is a bit expensive for what it does p.s did anybody get on with that pykaraoke???.
I have found song list generator to be the best for a-z karaoke, and easy to understand. It is worth the money.
also if you have any errors in your files you will have to correct them first before creating books. I use KJ File manager.
Be prepared to know what you are doing first with KJ file manager so that you do not waste time using it incorrectly.

Actually Irish, you are way off on your interpretation of what is going on and what the other option would be! No surprise that you only see this situation in black and white, but the protests are a stand against Capitalism, Wall Street being a wild offspring of the current corruption in our capitalistic society. People are standing up against Capitalism at it’s heart. The only way to change government is to uprise against what it is doing wrong. I applaud the protestors.It’s too bad that people weren’t united when the Bush administration lifted the bank regulations which empowered them to do such heinous things as raising interest rates to 40 plus percent for no reason. I suppose a march against that would be un-American too! Should we be upset that many of the banks such as Bank of America are now sidestepping the new regulations from the Obama Administration to hit us where it hurts by fees against our debit cards? I guess if we spoke out against that then we would really be saying that we want China to be THE NEW WORLD ECONOMIC POWER-BROKER! Get real bud
